Ingredients
  

Strawberry Layer

  • 3 –5 fresh strawberries hulled
  • 1 tablespoon sugar or honey adjust to taste

Milk Layer

  • ½ to ¾ cup milk dairy, oat, almond, or coconut
  • Ice cubes for iced version

Matcha Layer

  • 1 –1½ teaspoons matcha powder
  • cup hot water not boiling, about 80°C
  • 1 –2 teaspoons maple syrup or sweetener optional

Instructions
 

Prepare the Strawberry Base

  • Add strawberries and sugar to a blender.
  • Blend until smooth or mash with a fork for a chunkier texture.
  • Pour the mixture into the bottom of a glass.

Add Ice and Milk

  • Fill the glass with ice cubes.
  • Slowly pour milk over the strawberry layer to create separation.

Prepare the Matcha

  • Sift matcha powder into a bowl to remove clumps.
  • Add hot water and whisk in a zigzag motion until smooth and slightly frothy.
  • Stir in sweetener if desired.

Assemble the Latte

  • Slowly pour the matcha over the milk using the back of a spoon to maintain layers.

Serve

  • Serve immediately. Stir before drinking or enjoy the layered effect.
