Ingredients

For the Filling:

  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar packed
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
  • 1 tablespoon corn syrup or honey/maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional: 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon or nutmeg

For the Dough:

  • 1 can 8 oz refrigerated crescent roll dough

Optional Garnish:

  • Powdered sugar
  • Whipped cream or vanilla ice cream
  • These ingredients create the signature sweet, nutty, and gooey filling similar to classic pecan pie.

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat the Oven

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

Step 2: Prepare the Filling

  • In a mixing bowl, combine:
  • Chopped pecans
  • Brown sugar
  • Melted butter
  • Corn syrup
  • Vanilla extract
  • Salt and optional spices
  • Mix until the mixture forms a sticky, caramel-like consistency.

Step 3: Prepare the Dough

  • Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into triangles. Lay them flat on a clean surface.

Step 4: Fill the Crescents

  • Place about 1–2 teaspoons of the pecan filling on the wide end of each triangle.

Step 5: Roll and Shape

  • Roll each triangle from the wide end to the tip, forming a crescent shape. Ensure edges are sealed to prevent filling from leaking.

Step 6: Bake

  • Arrange the crescents on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 10–12 minutes, or until golden brown and flaky.

Step 7: Cool and Serve

  • Let the crescents cool for 5–10 minutes. Dust with powdered sugar or serve with whipped cream or ice cream if desired.
