Notes

  • Tips for Best Results:
  • Always drain the beef well to avoid a greasy casserole
Use freshly shredded cheese for better melting
Do not over mix biscuit batter—it should stay slightly lumpy for a soft texture
  • Storage:
  • Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3–4 days
Reheat in oven for best texture or microwave for convenience
  • Freezing:
  • Freeze baked or unbaked casserole for up to 2 months
Thaw overnight in the fridge before reheating
  • Variations:
  • Swap beef for ground turkey or chicken
Add beans or corn for extra texture
Use pepper jack cheese for a spicy twist
Make it low-carb by skipping biscuit topping and using cauliflower
